Install the Forvibe Chrome extension

The extension walks you through creating App Store Connect and Google Play Console credentials, then ships them securely to Forvibe. Version 0.1.0.

Why do I have to load it manually?

Forvibe distributes this extension directly instead of through the Chrome Web Store, so you see the exact version we ship. You'll enable Chrome's built-in Developer Mode once - this is the same switch Chrome uses for local extension development and can be turned off any time.

    Download the extension bundle

    Grab the ZIP and unzip it somewhere you won't accidentally delete (e.g. ~/Applications/forvibe-extension).

    Open chrome://extensions

    Paste chrome://extensions into your address bar (Chrome doesn't allow links to chrome:// pages). In the top-right corner, toggle Developer mode on.

    Click “Load unpacked” and select the folder

    Pick the unzipped folder (the one that contains manifest.json). The Forvibe icon will appear in your toolbar - pin it so the pairing fallback is always one click away.

    Come back and start pairing

    Return to Account → Credentials (or any credentials wizard). Pick Auto-import with Chrome extension and you're off.

Troubleshooting

  • If Forvibe doesn't detect the extension after loading, refresh the page - Chrome needs a reload to update the externally_connectable list.
  • No popup in the App Store / Play Console tab? Open the Forvibe extension icon and paste the 6-character pairing code you see on the Forvibe site.
  • To uninstall, open chrome://extensions and click Remove. Any stored credentials remain on Forvibe itself - the extension holds nothing long-term.
